Import Employees from Tanda

If your employees are already set up in Tanda, you can import their details into Myaccountant to save time on data entry and ensure consistency between your rostering and payroll systems.

Prerequisites

  • Your Tanda account must be connected.
  • Employees must be active in Tanda.

Steps to Import

  1. Navigate to Payroll > Employees.
  2. Click the Import button and select Import from Tanda.
  3. Myaccountant will retrieve a list of employees from Tanda.
  4. Review the list and select the employees you want to import.
  5. Click Import Selected.
  6. Employee records will be created with the available data from Tanda, including:
    • Name and contact details.
    • Date of birth.
    • Employment start date.
    • Hourly rate (if set in Tanda).

After Importing

Tanda may not hold all the payroll-specific details required by Myaccountant. After importing, review and complete each employee's profile:

  1. Go to Payroll > Employees and click on each imported employee.
  2. Fill in any missing fields:
    • Tax file number (TFN).
    • Tax settings — tax-free threshold, HELP debt.
    • Super fund details — fund name, USI, member number.
    • Pay schedule — weekly, fortnightly, or monthly.
    • Default pay items.
  3. Click Save.
tip

Employee matching between Tanda and Myaccountant is done by email address. Ensure employee email addresses are consistent across both systems.
